I highly doubt if that was the whole idea. Plus there was no added loudness compared to my previous mastering I did with Sound Forge prior to his idea. Don't listen to him, it won't work.īy the time I got over to Sound Forge so I can add the loudness myself, I actually found out his idea rather made things far worse. Putting a limiter on the master output channel will only distort the song because the final export will always be at the same loudness level. I suggest buying a peak limiter, but the problem is finding out which one will work. I'm actually asking the same question right now, and I still recieved no real answer. Every Cubase export is at the exact same loudness unless the song was intentionally made quieter. Takes time but when your finished the writing/production phase and get to the mixing phase of your track pull everything down. Because your ears getting used to hearing the stuff at the level they were at when u played the part. Thats ok i understand, when i start mixing that was one of the hardest things to do, on your own stuff that is, take stuff all the way down.
